Administration

Jerry Crosby

Principal

Jerry Crosby is excited to be returning to the Chico area.  She began her journey as a Sierra View, Bidwell and Pleasant Valley graduate.  From there she attended Brigham Young University where she received two bachelor degrees, and then to Stanford University where she received her Master's in Education.  She began her teaching career in inner city schools in the Bay Area, Orange County, and Sacramento.  She spent 23 glorious years in English classrooms before making the leap to administration.  She served as a vice principal for six years in both the Sacramento and Elk Grove Unified School Districts.  For the last two years, she has served as Principal of Toby Johnson Middle School.  She hopes that these 30+ years have prepared her for her role as the Inspire Principal.  She had already had the chance to meet most of the Inspire staff and many of the Inspire students.  She has been impressed with the level of dedication and vision shown by all and looks forward to being part of such an extraordinary family.

In her spare time--when she has some, she enjoys reading mystery and fantasy novels, attending musical theater, and skiing of any kind!  She is also working to finish her doctorate at California State University, Sacramento.
