Important Dates and Information

Let's get started!

Dear Parents/Guardians and Student Government Leaders,

I hope you are all enjoying summer with friends and family, possibly immersed in another culture,or simply enjoying some relaxing time with others on the porch or back yard.  The new school year is quickly upon us, and our leaders must get their motors started to lead their peers from start to finish!

Important dates coming up:

Wednesday  August 12th – New Student Orientation Training  (freshmen leaders will not attend this event)- This is a mandatory event for all others.

 9 to 1pm. Meet in IC-10 @ 8:50am.  Bring comfortable clothing please.

As always our leadership group will give our new incoming students a BIG WELCOME to Inspire, as they deserve it!  We need to make sure we get ready for it!  Bring snacks and water, make sure to eat breakfast.

Thursday  August 13th – New Student Orientation

8 to 1pm- Meet in IC-10 @7:50am Lunch will be provided or bring your own.  Bring water and eat breakfast.

Saturday September 19th.  Waiting to hear confirmation from Odyssey Ropes Course.   – Ropes Course experience at the Paradise Ropes Course Facility.  NEW*

This is the first time our leadership class is engaging in such a unique experience!   We are excited!   It will allow our leaders to bond, collaborate, build trust, problem solve, be challenged, and much more.  All essential elements to leadership!  For me, their advisor, it gives me the opportunity to be with them in a different light.  I am able to begin to get to know them at a more personal level; this allows me to make our classroom experience more meaningful.  

This gathering is not mandatory but highly encouraged.  It will allow for our leaders to start the year “ready to go” as a team.  They will meet new peers, revisit old friends and quickly adapt to one another. The experience will expose them to learn to trust not only themselves more, but others too.  This trust will be key on their collaboration and effectiveness, while always having fun and staying positive throughout the year.

Price is $65 per participant.  If there is a hardship, please contact me directly. Cash or Check only.  Checks can be me out to Odyssey Teams.

Please make sure to download the attached registration form and waiver, or click here.  Print and fill out completely.  Return the completed registration form and waiver to the main office or scan and send to me directly at aisern@chicousd.org with the subject title; Inspire Ropes Course.    Office is open from 9 to 2 Monday - Friday.

Parent driver volunteers will be needed, if you can lend a hand, contact me directly please.

Lastly- 1st Day Rotations.  Monday 8/17.  Once again leadership will help guide advisories through 4 rotations.  (details to come)
